How AP Wealth turned organic search into $15M in prospect assets
AP Wealth serves retirees moving into and out of Augusta, Georgia. In eighteen months of SEO and AI search optimization, the firm went from roughly 200 monthly search impressions to more than 4,000, and in November 2025 alone, five high-net-worth prospects booked consultations through the website, representing about $15M in investable assets. All five came from organic search. One found the firm through ChatGPT.

Where the firm was
AP Wealth had everything a firm needs except visibility. An experienced team, a strong local reputation, and a clear focus on retirees and near-retirees facing the biggest financial decisions of their lives. What they didn't have was a website that reflected any of it.
- Fewer than 300 monthly impressions in Google Search Console
- Inconsistent rankings in local search results
- No visibility with the out-of-state retirees relocating to Augusta, their single best-fit audience
The firm needed to own Augusta for relocating retirees, compete in the local map pack, and stay findable as AI-generated answers started reshaping how people search. Those three goals drove everything that followed.
What we actually did
Pick a narrower fight
Rather than compete head-on for “financial advisor Augusta” against national directories, we built the content strategy around a specific, valuable audience: retirees and near-retirees considering a move to Augusta. Narrow niches are easier to win and attract better-fit prospects.
Publish twice a month, every month
More than 29 articles to date, at a steady two per month, with older content refreshed for accuracy and performance rather than left to decay.
Build pages for geographic intent
Dedicated pages around Augusta relocation and retirement planning, so searches tying a life transition to a place had somewhere specific to land.
Fix the foundation underneath
Technical issues affecting indexation and mobile usability, internal linking and site architecture, schema markup, and conversion-focused UX work on the pages that mattered most.
Treat reviews as a ranking asset
A review acquisition program added 23 new Google reviews, feeding both local map visibility and the trust signals prospects read before they call.
Measure the AI layer
Using Scrunch, we benchmarked how often AP Wealth appeared in AI-generated answers across platforms including ChatGPT, tracked sentiment and citations, and watched competitor movement.
What changed, and by how much

July 2024
Dec 2025
Stylized rendering of the local grid results reported in the case study: ranks 3–5 across central Augusta in July 2024, #1 across nearly the entire grid by December 2025. Grid centered on the firm's office.
$15M in booked consultations, in one month
In November 2025, five high-net-worth prospects booked consultations directly through the website: two with $5M in investable assets each, and three more totaling another $5M. All five originated from organic search. One explicitly mentioned discovering AP Wealth through ChatGPT.
Search visibility up more than 1,900%
Monthly impressions climbed from roughly 200 in late 2024 to more than 4,000 at their peak in late 2025, a steady, compounding climb rather than a spike.
Traffic that recovered from the AI disruption
Organic traffic grew from 267 to a peak of 2,182 visitors. After a mid-year dip caused by AI integration in search results, the firm rebounded: December 2024 traffic was 307; a year later it was 1,125, a 3.7× year-over-year lift.

What this means for your firm
- 01A narrow niche is easier to win and brings better-fit prospects than a broad one.
- 02Local visibility and AI visibility reinforce each other. Both run on the same authority signals.
- 03Reviews are not a vanity metric. They move map rankings, and map rankings produce calls.
71% of the firm's AI mentions now land in the top tier of answers, with 100% positive sentiment.
Answers, in plain English
How long did this take?
The engagement began in mid-2024. Rankings and impressions moved within the first several months; the $15M month came in November 2025, roughly eighteen months in. That timeline is typical, leads follow visibility, not the other way around.
Was this local SEO or content marketing?
Both, and they compounded. The content strategy captured retirees researching a move to Augusta, while local SEO and review acquisition won the map pack for people already searching nearby. Neither alone would have produced the same result.
Did AI search actually produce a client?
One of the five prospects in that November cohort said they found AP Wealth through ChatGPT. That is a single data point, but it is a real one, and 71% of the firm's AI mentions now appear in the top tier of generated answers.
What's left to win?
Higher-volume terms like “financial advisor” and “financial advisor Augusta,” which national directories and large firms defend hard. They're tougher and more rewarding, and they're the focus of the next phase.
Every day you’re invisible, another advisor gets the call
